Fall Cigar Dinner
Our November 4 dinner was attended 70 guests. A world class cigar menu teamed up with shrimp and calamari, salmon with tomato risotto and beef tenderloin you could cut with a fork, served in a spectacular fine dining environment. Add in some barola’s and cabs and the night was a great success.
Summer 2014 Comes To An End
Sure the start of summer 2014 was nothing to write home about. But the weather in August and September was just fine and helped us enjoy the last few events before Fall kicked in. Our “patio” was always busy; there were some great new cigar releases; the Cigar Studio Golf Event was another success; we kept Tania @ Cuba very busy; and the transition from Colin to Alex went off without a hitch. Keep your radio on this dial as we announce a few things for Fall 2014.
Colins Farewell Party
Go big or go home was our theme as we thanked Colin for 3.5 years of service. He and his wife Kiki are off to Stratford as she has a teaching job starting September. 40 guests and suppliers spent the night at Franks telling great stories about one of Cigar Studio’s greatest employees. And he loved the cabinet humidor we gave him that suppliers helped to fill. And not a bad CA spoof he through back at the boss. We will miss him. But Alex his new protégé is doing great and already stepping in to fill big shoes.
Good luck Colin.
Anniversary Event a Cool Blast
Kicking off a month of our 18th Anniversary celebrations at Franks on May 6. Cool yes, just like the beer. Who says you can’t drink cab’s at 50°. But the cigars were awesome; huge discussion about which COY was the best, the Montecristo No 2 or the Flor De Las Antillas Toro. Way too much fun, too much great food and drink. Thanks to all the staff. See you soon.
A few of the lads who refused to go home.
