Alex’s Taste Guide
Hey Everyone, Alex here
I have been working with Jerry at Cigar Studio since 2014. One of the perks of my job is that the boss allows me to smoke pretty well anything I want, which is awesome since I really enjoy cigars. I am also lucky that my palate is able to detect strength and flavor nuances that manufacturers try to provide smokers with when they blend the cigars you often find in Toronto cigar stores. So I thought it might be helpful to provide customers with a simple Taste Guide that might open up more options for you to try, whether those options include Cuba cigars, or any cigars you might find in a Toronto tobacconist such as Cigar Studio.
Here is a list of 50 cigars that I have smoked in the past year, along with my simple legend containing descriptors that will help you make choices. Please note; Country of Origin is where the cigar is manufactured irrespective of its wrapper, blender, and filler components; Strength range is based on my personal impressions, and Palate Flavors are the main tastes I pick up about 1/3 into the cigar.
Hope you enjoy my guide. Feel free to send me your own impressions and thoughts. And make sure you find time to drop in and visit Toronto premier cigar store, Cigar Studio.
