Alex Tasting Guide

Given all the changes in the past couple of years, it was time to update my Taste Guide. Since I started with Jerry in 2014, he’s let me smoke basically any cigars I ever wanted which is great. I am also lucky that my palate is able to detect strength and flavor nuances that manufacturers try to provide smokers with when they blend the cigars you often find in Toronto cigar stores.

So here is an updated list of cigars that I have smoked in the past 12 months, along with my simple legend containing descriptors that will help you make choices. Please note; Country of Origin is where the cigar is manufactured irrespective of its wrapper, blender, and filler components; Strength range is based on my personal impressions, and Palate Flavors are the main tastes I pick up about 1/3 into the cigar.
