What is Bale?
A bale refers to the large, tightly-packed bundles in which cured tobacco leaves are stored and transported before being used in cigar production. Bales are typically wrapped in burlap or another breathable material to protect the tobacco while allowing air circulation. This method helps preserve the quality of the leaves while they are aged or transported. Tobacco leaves are often aged in bales for several years before they are ready for use in premium cigars, allowing the flavors to mature and the tobacco to achieve the desired characteristics.
