What is Tercios?
Tercios are bundles of cured tobacco leaves that are wrapped in the bark of royal palm trees for storage and aging. This traditional method of storing tobacco is commonly used in Cuba and the Dominican Republic, where the bark helps to regulate humidity and protect the leaves during the aging process. The tercios method allows the tobacco to age slowly and develop richer, more complex flavors. Tercios are an important part of the tobacco fermentation and aging process, contributing to the depth and character of premium cigars.
